Uranium Energy is a company primed for production once the price of uranium strengthens. The company has a portfolio of uranium assets in Texas, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado, several of which are primed and permitted for production. Importantly UEC also owns the Hobson processing facility in South Texas, which is the centre of its ‘hub and spoke’ production plan. With resources defined, permits in hand, and an operational processing facility, UEC could be in production right now. However, low uranium prices mean the company would be depleting its resources for marginal benefit. Instead, UEC has clearly stated its intent to wait until uranium prices rise before restarting production. In the meantime, the company is clearing away all hurdles so that the transition to production will be rapid when the time arrives.
